Video recipes that save real lives.

Delicious recipes are one of the most viewed content every day on social media. But there are more than 1.4 million children in Somalia, South Sudan, Nigeria and Yemen who do not see food on their plates every day.

In partnership with Save the Children, we used this trend to create a series of video recipes showing how to prepare real recipes with which a malnourished child can survive on for a day in Africa.

We filmed four video recipes of typical african dishes that they cook in the poorest parts of the country. To catch people's attention and surprise them with our message, we used the same look and feel of Tasty, the world's most famous video recipe channel.

Rice soup
1tablespoon of oil - 1 tablespoon of salt - 1/2 onion - 1 carrot - 1 tomato - 4 glasses of water - 1 cup of rice. Boil for 20 minutes over a low heat. This recipe can save a child's life today.

Millet porridge
6/7 leaves of beans - 1 cup of pea flour - 1 cup of millet flour - 3 cups of cold water - 3 cups of hot water - 1 tablespoon of salt
Boil the bean leaves for 5 minutes. Remove. Mix with the rest of the ingredients. Cook for 3 minutes. This recipe can save a child's life today.

Fried rice
1/2 onion - 1 carrot - 2 tomatoes - 1 tablespoon of oil - 3 glasses of water - 2 tablespoons of salt - 1/2 cup of rice - 1 cup of moringa. Grate the onion, the carrot and the tomato. Mix everything and cook on a low heat for 15 minutes. This recipe can save a child's life today.

Pamply nut
350 gr. of peanut butter - 3 cups of vegetable oil - 1/2 glass of sugar - 6 tablespoons of powdered milk. Mix everything and let it cool down for 10 minutes. This recipe can save a child's life today.

We launched them on social media and in a few hours, actors, sportsmen, famous chefs and all sorts of people shared them on their profiles to raise awareness of the problem, and get money to solve it.

With all of this we raised awareness about this problem in Spain and we contributed to increase the rate of donations related with hunger problems. The best part is that months later, Save the Children, invited us to launch this campaign globally.
